MoZella was born and raised in Livonia, Michigan, where she first got her start as a performer booking her own gigs in coffee houses as early as 15. In 2003 she was signed to Madonna’s Maverick Records in July 2003. In November 2006, she released her full-length debut I Will. She has now signed with Universal/Motown Records and released a new album on October 20, 2009. I haven’t heard it yet, but i did notice that one song was on an episode of The Hills recently.
