“Hate It or Love It” is the second official (third overall) single from rapper The Game’s debut album, The Documentary. The song was blocked from the #1 position on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart by The Game’s fellow G-Unit member at the time, 50 Cent (who is also featured in this song), with his song “Candy Shop” (featuring Olivia).

Mary J. Blige covers the song on the single “MJB Da MVP” from her multi-platinum album The Breakthrough, with 50 Cent rapping his chorus line and Blige continuing with an altered version of The Game’s original line. The Game is featured on the remix of the song. This is the second official remix.

Sheldon Alan Silverstein, better known as Shel Silverstein (September 25, 1930 – May 10, 1999), was an American poet, singer-songwriter, musician, composer, cartoonist, screenwriter, and author of children’s books. He sometimes styled himself as Uncle Shelby, especially for his early children’s books.
Silverstein confirmed that he never studied the poetry of others and therefore developed his own quirky style: laid-back and conversational, occasionally employing profanity and slang.

Silverstein’s passion for music was clear early on as he studied briefly at Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. His musical output included a large catalog of songs; a great number of which were hits for other artists – most notably the rock & roll group Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show (later shortened to just Dr. Hook).

Olive are a dance/breakbeat/trip hop group from the North of England. The founding membership consisted of producer, instrumentalist and songwriter Tim Kellett, producer and keyboard programmer Robin Taylor-Firth, and singer Ruth-Ann Boyle. The band released two albums, the second without Taylor-Firth.
They are best known for the UK number-one single “You’re Not Alone”.

Mouth was one of my earliest favorite songs… It came out in 1996 when i was about to go into grade seven. I remember listening to the tape that i had recorded off of Rick-Dee’s Weekly Top 40 radio show over and over again until i managed to get her CD… Well I recently dug out my old CD and relived those memories….. Merril Bainbridge (born June 2, 1968 in Melbourne, Victoria) is an Australian pop music singer and songwriter. Her debut was the single, “Mouth”, which peaked at number-one for six consecutive weeks in Australia and became a top five hit in the United States.

Bainbridge started performing when she was at the age of nine and her first performance was at a carnival and her sisters persuaded her into entering, because the prize was free carnival tickets. She came third and won twenty dollars worth of tickets. After six years of performing in a variety of bands in Australia, and doing backup vocal work in exchange for studio time, Bainbridge began a solo career under the tutelage of producer Siew. Bainbridge stated that she and Siew “really connected well, from a creative point. I liked the way he worked and I knew I had so much more to learn in that environment [and] that’s how it started. That was the point where I started feeling a lot more confident as a singer and then wanting to dive more into the songwriting side.” She also worked a day job before quitting to concentrate solely on music.

Eric Lynn Wright (Sept 7, 1963 – March 26, 1995), better known by the stage name Eazy-E, was an American rapper, producer, and record executive from Compton, California. Widely regarded as one of the founders of the gangsta rap subgenre, he rose to fame as the founder and member of the group N.W.A and later achieved critical and commercial success as a solo artist.

CeCe Peniston was born in Dayton, Ohio and moved to Phoenix, Arizona at the age of nine. She attended grew up in Phoenix and took to entering beauty pageants where she was crowned Miss Black Arizona in 1989. CeCe’s music career began in 1990 when she signed to A&M Records and got her initial exposure doing featured vocals on Phoenix female rapper Overweight Pooch’s 1991 single “I Like It”.

Peniston released her debut album, ‘Finally’, in 1992 and the first single of the same name achieved #1 chart status on three Billboard charts and also hit No. 2 in the UK. The song was also used in the cult Australian film The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. She was personally requested to perform by Aretha Franklin for her birthday, Pope John Paul II at the vatican and Bill Clinton at both of his inauguration ceremonies. Following the abolition of apartheid, Peniston was the first female entertainer to visit and perform in South Africa.
